today the grandmothers for africa (south okanagan) walked to raise awareness that it is the grandmothers of africa that are left behind to look after the children, theirs and others. in solidarity we walked, all ages to the table where baked goods were sold as a fundraiser. 100% of the money goes towards the childrens primary education and daycare, food, upgrading of housing and purchasing of garden plots. eye feel very honoured to be a part of this incredibly dedicated and committed group. it's all good in the neighbourhood ;-) to top it up, my folks and sister came over for a late lunch and mum was dancing to miriam makeba! no sewing today :-) maybe tomorrow
